Lotus Capital Limited has expressed support for the proposed introduction of Islamic Banking in to the Nigerian financial market. A statement from the investment company yesterday described the non-interest banking product as an alternative investment option. The statement said the firm recently sponsored an exclusively training seminar titled :”Modern Financial techniques for Islamic Banking and Finance’, as part of efforts to enlighten investors and other banking products consumers on the importance of the specialised banking system. Managing Director, Lotus Capital, Mrs Hajara Adeola, was quoted to have said : “Since its inception in 2004, Lotus Capital has been exclusively providing wide-range financial services in line with Islamic principles for all Nigerians in pursuit of an ethical or halal alternative.
