Hajara Adeola is the Managing Director of Lotus Capital Limited, a Nigerian pioneer in Shari'ah compliant Asset Management, Private Wealth Management Advisory Services and Financial Advisory Services. She comes to Lotus Capital from UBS Warburg where she was a Director heading their London Islamic Finance Desk. Prior to joining UBS, she was a Convertible Bond Research Analyst at BNP Paribas, London.
Hajara Adeola began her career as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). From there she joined ARM Investment Managers as a pioneer staff and rose to Vice-President and Head of the Research and Financial Advisory Units. In all, she has over 20 years of international experience in research and analysis, investment management and corporate finance.
She holds an M.Sc in Finance from Durham University where she specialized in Islamic Finance. She also holds an MBA in International Management from Exeter University and a B.Sc in Pharmacology from King's College, London. Mrs. Adeola is the first President of the Fund Manager's Association of Nigeria and a West African Fellow of the Aspen Leadership Initiative. She is also the Chairperson of the Securities & Exchange Commission’s non-interest capital market 10 year master plan committee and a Director of the Aliko Dangote Foundation.
Toyin has 16 years experience that transverses Financial Strategy, Treasury Management, Islamic Finance, Credit Structuring and Operational Risk Management.
She previously worked at Guaranty Trust Bank in their Treasury and Corporate Banking Groups, and was also the Segment Manager for Islamic Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank; and GM Finance for Linetrale Petroleum Limited. She was also the pioneer Treasury and Finance Manager of Lotus Capital Limited.
Toyin is a Chartered Accountant with an M.Sc in Finance and Management from Cranfield School of Management UK. She also holds a BSc degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos.
Gregory Ogbebor has over seven years’ experience in the financial services industry with a core competence in Islamic Finance. His work profile covers all financial advisory functions, credit analysis, market research, financial modelling and portfolio management.
Mr. Ogbebor heads the Investment and Research unit with overall responsibility for credit analysis, credit risk management and Portfolio Management. As a pioneer staff of Lotus Capital Limited he has attended several Islamic Finance trainings and has also facilitated training.
He holds his first degree in Banking & Finance from University of Benin and an M.Sc. Finance from the University of Lagos. He is also an associate member of the Institute of Loan and Risk Management.
Mas'ud joined Lotus Capital from the lawfirm of Olaniwun Ajayi LP.
His experience spans soliciting and advocacy. He has advised on corporate, project, trade, and structured finance. He has acted for both public and private companies. He has advised financial institutions and corporate organizations on aspects of foreign investment, private equity investment, disposals, joint ventures, fundraisings, IPOs, group reorganizations, corporate restructuring, shareholders dispute, mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, and bond offerings.
Mas'ud advised on the recapitalization of Union Bank of Nigeria which was concluded in 2012, advised on the merger of Equatorial Trust Bank with Sterling Bank in 2011 and the merger of Intercontinental Bank with Access Bank in 2011. He advised on the restructuring and conversion of Nigerian Bottling Company Plc from a private to a public Company. He advised Standard Chartered Bank on acquisition finance in Nigeria and Deutsche Bank AG London on trade finance in Nigeria. Mas'ud has advised on placings, IPOs and Bond Offerings by corporate, sub-national and supra-natural entities.
As an advocate, Mas'ud represented the Central Bank of Nigeria in civil litigations challenging the banking reforms agenda of the CBN and has represented banks in various investment and public offers related disputes. Mas'ud has previously worked in the London office of Norton Rose Fulbright where he advised foreign companies on corporate restructuring and refinancing.
Mas'ud holds a law degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and is called to the Nigerian Bar.
Adebola Samson-Fatokun began her career as a Bilingual Administrative Assistant at Bouygues Nigeria Limited. From there she joined Air France, where she was Human Resources Manager for Nigeria and Ghana Region, Adebola later became the joint Human Resources Manager for Air France-KLM upon their merger, after almost 14 years in aviation sector, she later moved to financial services where she served as Head of Human Resources for Ecobank Development Corporation (EDC) across its five countries (Cameroun, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria), she was later seconded to Ecobank Group Domestic as Group Human Resources Generalist, her last role before joining Lotus Capital. Her responsibilities included Strategic partnering with Management, Manpower Planning, HR Policies and Practices, Organisation Development, Performance and Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Employee and Industrial Relations and Expatriates’ management.
She holds an MSc in International Human Resources Management from Cranfield University (UK), a PG Dip. in Bilingual Secretarial Administration, and a BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages from Obafemi Awolowo University. Adebola is a Chartered Member of CIPD (UK), a Chartered Member of CIPM Nigeria, and a student member of CRHA Canada.
Adebola is perfectly bilingual (French and English) and she has knowledge and working experience of different labour laws across Sub-Sahara Africa.
Babatunde Moshood started his career as an accountant in a consulting & project management firm (Mc Coy Zalm Nigeria Ltd) where he was responsible for managing the company's projects and general accounts.
He joined Lotus Capital Ltd in 2009 as a Fund Accountant with the responsibility of managing the "Funds Under Management" of over 20,000 client base. He was also responsible for daily valuation of all the "Funds Under Management" and reporting on the financial performance of the portfolios to the Investment Committee.
His areas of specialty include Financial analysis & reporting, Regulatory reporting, financial performance measurement, Strategic financial planning, budgeting and Business Analysis.
Babatunde Moshood has demonstrated high sense of commitment, dedication and ownership in the discharge of his responsibilities. He put his diverse experience in accounting and portfolio management to bear and this has earned him several accolades in his career history with Lotus Capital Limited:
- In 2012 financial year, he led the Lotus Capital International Financial Reporting (IFRS) implementation team. The team did not only meet the deadline but also received a clean bill of compliance from both Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and Security & Exchange.
- Also in 2012 financial year, he led the team that set a daring record of "zero audit adjustment" for the Funds annual account.
- In 2013, Moshood led the implementation team of Global Investment Performance Standard (GIPS) and upon conclusion, Lotus Capital becomes yet another market leader in Nigeria by joining the league of Asset management firms that exhibit a global best practice in the calculation and presentation of investment performance in the world.
- Moshood coordinated several Information Technology (IT) initiatives including integration of Credit process management into Microsoft Dynamics (Navision).
Mr. Babatunde Moshood holds HND (Distinction) in Accounting and is also an Associate member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN).
She started her career as an Audit Associate at Deloitte & Touché (Formerly KPMG) and has over 10 years' experience in banking and finance. Before Lotus Capital Ibitayo worked at Macquarie Bank Ltd (UK) as an Executive in the Metals & Energy Capital Group where she specialized in Base and Precious Metal Operations. She was also actively involved in the Operational Risk Self-Assessment (ORSA) of the Group. Ibitayo has also worked at JP Morgan Chase (UK), Northern Trust (Fund Managers) UK , Deutsche Bank (UK) and Sterling Bank (formerly Magnum Trust Bank). She has varied experience in fund management operations, money market operations, commodities, London Metal Exchange Operations, Exchange traded derivatives, metals & energy securities, foreign exchange trading and customer service.
Ibitayo has a first degree in Economics from Bayero University, Kano and an MBA Financial Management from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. She holds a CISI (UK) Certificate in Operational Risk and is a member of Aiesec Alumni. She has attended many local and foreign trainings.
