Ndako has over 18 years’ cognate experience, which covers research, asset management, and investment banking.

Ndako previously worked as a Senior Analyst with Agusto & Co. and was the lead analyst on Corporate and Municipal credit ratings. At Agusto, Ndako provided ratings coverage on state governments and their instruments. His role also involved credit ratings coverage of notable corporates in Nigeria in key sectors such as real estate, food and beverages, construction and oil & gas.

At LOTUS Capital, Ndako heads the Investment and Research Unit where he manages shariah compliant mutual funds, an exchange traded fund, a waqf (endowment) fund and several private client portfolios. He is also part of the team that manages the NGX LOTUS Islamic Index. Ndako has led various advisory mandates on the issuance of Sukuk and other non-interest finance instruments, many of which are landmark transactions in the Nigerian capital market. Ndako facilitates training for financial institutions, corporates and regulatory agencies on Non-interest finance and financial management.

He is an Alumnus of University of Cambridge Islamic Finance Leadership Programme, the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Programme and the Lagos Business School Senior Management Programme. Ndako has an MSc. in Financial Management from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and a BSc. in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is a Certified Islamic Finance Executive (CIFE). He previously served as an Executive Member of the Fund Managers Association of Nigeria (FMAN) as the chairperson of Ethics, Rules and Regulations Committee. He has also chaired the Technical Committee of the Non-interest Finance Institutions Association of Nigeria (NIFIAN).
