Hajara Adeola is the Managing Director of Lotus Capital Limited, a Nigerian pioneer in Shari’ah compliant Asset Management, Private Wealth Management Advisory Services and Financial Advisory Services. She comes to Lotus Capital from UBS Warburg where she was a Director heading their London Islamic Finance Desk. Her responsibilities included structuring and trading Islamic Finance investment instruments for European private clients and multi currency money market instruments for institutional clients (UK private banks). She was also responsible for structuring innovative Islamic Finance instruments to meet evolving client requirements and liaising with the Shari’ah consultants for approval.
Prior to joining UBS, she was a Convertible Bond Research Analyst at BNP Paribas, London where her primary responsibility was to analyze, write and publish daily and quarterly research on European convertible bonds. This research was published on Bloomberg and distributed to BNP Paribas’ worldwide institutional convertible client base daily. In addition, she structured and priced primary convertible bond issues for corporate clients and gained invaluable experience in the over the counter structured finance field.
Mrs Hajara Adeola began her career as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). From there she joined ARM Investment Managers as a pioneer staff and rose to Vice-President and Head of the Research and Financial Advisory Units. Her responsibilities included equity research, trading and investment management of global equity portfolios and financial advisory assignments (feasibility reports, business plans, project management and fund raising). In all, she has over 15 years of international experience in research and analysis, investment management and corporate finance.
She holds an M.Sc in Finance (1st Class honours) from Durham University where she specialized in Islamic Finance. She also holds an MBA in International Management from Exeter University and a BSc in Pharmacology from King’s College, London. Hajara Adeola is the President of the Fund Manager’s Association of Nigeria and a West African Fellow of the Aspen Leadership Initiative.

Taofiq Agbaje Head, Investment Management & Research |

Taofiq Agbaje is a 1990 graduate of Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos. He has over fourteen years experience in various areas of Investment Banking. Prior to joining Lotus Capital, he was a Senior Manager,Credit Analysis and Risk Management in Marina International Bank (now Access Bank).
Mr Agbaje had overall responsibility for credit risk management, credit analysis and remedial management of credits. He also had exposure to the stock broking arm of the bank where he was a member of the investment committee responsible for providing financial advice to corporate clients.
Mr Agbaje also coordinated the integration of the broad based banking software (flexcube). He began his career as an executive of Metropolitan Bank in the operations and credit units.
Taofiq is a Microsoft Certified Professional and also holds a Diploma in Computer Science.

Attahiru Maccido Head, Northern Region |

Attahiru Maccido comes to Lotus Capital from Profund Securities Limited where he was a Manager heading the Equity and Debt Issues Department. His responsibilities included packaging applications of companies trying to access the Capital Market, mergers and acquisition, restructuring and portfolio management for corporate and individual clients.
He has also worked with The Securities and Exchange Commission as an Assistant Manager in the Securities and Investment Services Department. His main responsibilities included vetting company offer documents before issuance of securities to the public and vetting allotment proposals before clearance.
Attahiru Maccido has an MSc in Economics from University of Abuja and a BSc in Economics from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.

Olumide Lawson Head, Financial Control |

Olumide Lawson comes to Lotus Capital from Legacy Realties Limited where he was a Vice President heading their Finance and Planning Group. His responsibilities included development and implementation of the company’s and projects’ financial strategy (with scope covering project funding, treasury management, etc). He was also responsible for Planning and Budgeting process as well as Revenue Assurance.
Olumide began his career as a Graduate Assistant in the Commercial Banking Group of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. From there he joined the Financial Control Unit of the erstwhile Asset & Resource Management Company Limited (now ARM Investment Managers) as an Accounting Associate and rose to the position of Company Accountant. His responsibilities included several duties in the area of Financial and Fund Accounting like funds transfer, preparation of management accounts and settling of capital market trades. He was also responsible for the administration of the database of Pension Fund Clients with over 2,500 contributing members.
In all, Olumide has over 11 years of experience in Financial Accounting and Control. He has also been invited by Kimberly Ryan to serve as one of their Technical Assessors during its competency tests to individuals at the assessment centre.
Olumide holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ®) designation. He is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (UKSIP). He is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and holds a B.SC from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Taiwo Peters is a qualified Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He started his career at the law firm of Akinwunmi & Busari in civil and criminal litigation. Thereafter, he worked with Unitrust Insurance Company Ltd. before moving onto Virgin Nigeria Airways Ltd.
He specializes in Company Law and contract drafting and has gained significant experience in the aviation, insurance and finance sector.
He holds an LL.B degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye and also holds a certificate in Airline Contract Law from the IATA Training & Development Institute in Montreal, Canada.

Omodayo Oduntan has over 10 years practical experience in Human Resources and Administration. She holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Management, both from the University of Lagos. She commenced her career in the banking industry and has acquired diverse experience in the Financial Services, Consulting, Telecommunications and Manufacturing industries.
She comes to Lotus Capital from Helios Towers Nigeria where she was the Head of the Human Resources department. She is an excellent HR Generalist with exposure cutting across the following areas: Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Performance Management, Training, Compensation, Expatriate Management, HR Policies and Procedure development, as well as Employee Relations.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and has attended several trainings both locally and internationally. She is passionate about training and is an active pro bono trainer at the Fate Foundation where she facilitates trainings in Management, Organizational Development and Performance Management.
